Research activities in the Department of Anatomy cover a wide range of topics from molecular cell, neuro- and tumor biology, degenerative joint diseases to the development, structure and function of the enteric nervous system. Another main focus is applied clinical anatomy.
The technical equipment includes different types of light and fluorescence microscopy, transmission and scanning electron microscopy as well as modern methods for cell biological, biochemical and molecular research.
